We come to you with the January newsletter, which will be mainly aimed at education and a small recap of the previous year. We hope that you greeted 2024 well and we wish you much success, health, and fulfilled wishes.
In December last year, we launched our multicultural calendar for 2024. You can find the photos from the event on our website. We would like to thank all who came or who supported us with feedback on social media or have given praise directly at the Centre for Foreigners at Kounicova 13, Brno.
Currently:
From January 1, 2024, all those who operate a motor vehicle with a Ukrainian license plate in the Czech Republic must be registered in the register of Ukrainian vehicles.
From January 8, 2024, the registration for the extension of temporary protection is open. You can register on the website frs.gov.cz until March 15, 2024.
From February 1 until February 20, 2024 it is possible to submit applications for high schools with maturita graduation and non-maturita specializations.

Courses for EU Citizens, 2nd Wave
The second wave of registrations for EU citizens will be from January 22, 2024 until January 28, 2024 on our website. We will open a total of 7 courses from February 19, 2024; four will be taught in person, and the remaining three will be online. Don’t miss your chance to attend our courses filled with friendly energy and with the knowledge necessary to improve your language skills.

Courses for Non-EU Citizens
Our doors are also open for Non-EU citizens! We are opening Czech language courses for Non-EU adults from February 12, 2024. You can register from January 15 until January 21, 2024 by clicking on the attached link. We have 21 courses in total, 5 of which are level B+, 6 from A1 to A2.2 for Slavics and 10 ranging from A1.1 to A2.3 for Non-Slavics.

Multicultural Activities
In January, we will visit the Museum of Applied Arts in Brno and we will begin a self-defense course for youth aged 14 and up and women. Each Wednesday we have a Youth Club, which we will inform you about in the following weeks. This year we will also offer career consultations for teenagers.

Information Meeting: Secondary School Admissions for 2024
On January 31, 2024 at 6 P.M. in our Centre, we will be organizing an information meeting about admissions into secondary schools in 2024. If you are thinking about applying and continuing your education at secondary schools but you don't understand the Czech education system, the conditions for sending and filling out applications, we will be here for you.
The meeting will be in Czech and it will be interpreted into English.
