Dear friends,
We are happy to see the outside temperatures are rising; this means that our activities can be slowly moved outside. Last month you could meet us at Europe Day. We believe that with the warmer days we can meet more often, because we are always happy to see you.
And what are we preparing in June?
Meeting for Non-Medical Healthcare Professionals
Are you a nurse or any other non-medical healthcare professional? Are you interested in your career options in the Czech healthcare system? Come to the meeting with the National Centre for Nursing and Non-Medical Health Professions (národní centrum ošetřovatelství a nelékařských zdravotnických profesí) on June 13, 2024 at 17:00. During this meeting we will introduce the services of our career consultations, we will tell you of the requirements of nostrification and the approbation exams, and we will tell you of your career options in your field. We will also answer any questions you have.
registrationHow to Run a Business
On June 13, we will hold a lecture about running a business. The course will be interpreted into English and thus is primarily for English speakers. Topics that will be discussed are: how to obtain a trade license, business registration requirements, types of businesses and professional qualifications and links to obtain more information on running a business.
registrationSummer Intensive Czech Courses for Children and Teenagers
Just like every summer holiday, we are organizing intensive Czech language courses for your children before school begins. The registration will begin on June 17 and the beginning of the courses is planned for August 12, 2024. We offer courses for preschoolers, younger pupils, older pupils, and teenagers. We hope you are looking forward to this as much as us and our teachers!
Youth Club
In June, all youth aged 14 and up can visit our Youth Club, which is preparing a number of interesting activities such as the picnic on Špilberk, a looping workshop, a barbeque, or stretching. You can find the dates of the specific events lower and on the Youth Club Facebook profile.
Youth ClubThe Greeting of Summer with the Centre
On June 23, beginning at 14:00, the second community event called “The Greeting of Summer” with the Centre for Foreigners will take place at the Špilberk park. The event is mainly for families with children. It will include fun games and creative workshops. We will share more information with you on our social media.
Virtual Safe Space for Women and Girls
Laaha was created for women and girls to share information on health, safety, abuse, and relationships. Here, you can also find access to services and key information, links and options of mutual support and connection. The Laaha web is available in English, Spanish, Kurdish, Arabic, and newly in Ukrainian as well.
