Community Theatre with Yolda Collective (Workshop Series)
Join a participatory workshop series led by Yolda Collective exploring balance, support, and belonging through theatre, movement, and collaborative creation.
The workshops are open to everyone, especially to those navigating a new cultural environment and wishing to connect with others. No previous experience is needed—just willingness to participate and be part of a group.
What to expect
Community theatre offers a safe and supportive space where people from different backgrounds can meet, exchange perspectives, and co-create. The workshops aim to:
- build mutual support,
- encourage dialogue, empathy, and understanding,
- respond to the needs and interests of the group.
Activities may include various artistic forms such as photography, puppetry, food-based activities, writing, sound recording, and video. The program draws from Theatre of the Oppressed, clowning, movement practices, and performance-making techniques.
