Grammar Courses of Czech for EU Citizens

From 23 February 2026, we are opening new Czech language courses for you!

Who are the courses for? 

The courses are intended for all citizens of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) who live long-term in the South Moravian Region. Clients with Czech citizenship may also apply. Clients from countries outside the EU and EEA cannot apply.

It is possible to register for only one course.

  • Course duration: 12 weeks
  • Course focus: Grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and writing 

IMPORTANT: Before registering, you must know your level!

How to apply:  

  1. I am a current client of the Centre – if you have already completed a course with us and passed the final test with at least 70%, register for the course one level higher.
  2. I am a new client and I don’t speak Czech at all – you do not need to take a test. Register for A1.1 (Non-Slavs) or A1 Slavs.
  3. I am a new client (I have not attended any course at the Centre for Foreigners), but I know some Czech – you must take a placement test. The test consists only of an oral part conducted in the form of a short interview (10–15 minutes)  in person at the Centre for Foreigners or online via Zoom from 19 to 25 January 2026 (maximum 20 places). For the interview appointment, please write to koudelkova.jitka@cizincijmk.cz – we will be happy to help you choose the appropriate level.

  • registration: 26. 1. – 1. 2. 2026
  • course start: in the week from 23. 2. 2026

We give everyone a fair chance, so the fair lottery system is still in place. After your electronic registration (below on this page), expect an e-mail from us informing you whether you were selected in the lottery.
