The Centre in October: Job Fair and Czech Language Courses
October will be a really busy month for us – you can look forward to new Czech language courses, a job fair, and the opportunity to be involved in an important project. Whether you are looking for a chance to practice Czech, learn online, find a job, or help others, you can certainly find something just for you in our newsletter.
Open Czech Language Courses - A Different Topic Every Week
Do you want to practice Czech in a friendly environment? Join our open conversation courses for Non-EU citizens which take place every Wednesday from 13:30 to 16:00. Each lesson is dedicated to a different topic; food, work, animals, housing, and a special “Czech with all the senses”. You don’t have to attend regularly; you register for each lesson separately, so you can choose only those topics that interest you. The first meeting will take place October 1st and the last one December 17th. Come and talk, meet new people, and mainly, enjoy Czech!
MoreE-learning: Czech Whenever and Wherever
Can’t attend in-person lessons? We have the solution! From October we will begin e-learning Czech courses. The lessons are in the form of interactive online exercises, you receive regular feedback from the teacher and every two weeks you meet online. Thanks to this you learn when and where you want; from your home, from work, or a café. If you want to study in a flexible way, under the guidance of a teacher, these courses are an ideal choice for you.
MoreJobspin: Find Your Dream Job
On Friday, October 17, Brno will become a hub of job opportunities for foreigners. Are you looking for a new job, do you want a change, or do you just want to get a better grasp on life in the Czech Republic? The Jobspin Job and Relocation Fair offers all this under one roof. The job fair will take place at the BVV Congress Center and offers not only job opportunities, but also practical information about accommodation, healthcare, or education. Come and take advantage of this chance to give your career a new direction.
MoreLa Strada: Help Protect Ukrainian Women
The La Strada Organization launched a project aimed at identifying the risks Ukrainian women may encounter in the Czech Republic, particularly in terms of accommodation and employment. Have you had any negative experiences with violations of labor law from the side of the employer or a different person towards you or your colleagues? Have you experienced or been a witness of sexual harassment? Fill out an anonymous survey. Every voice and experience can contribute to preventing exploitation and making vulnerable women feel safer in the Czech Republic.
